About the role

As a Field Operations Engineer at Conference Manager, your role is to work 4 days of the week out-of-office at customers location, specifically 2 days each at 2 customers in the Copenhagen area. You are their point of contact and will ensure their operations are running smoothly. This includes network, servers (both in our data centers and hosted locally), workstations, POS systems, Active Directories, E-mail, phones, backups and more.

Core Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility is to communicate with our customers and solving their needs, from end-user support to server management.

You will work with:

• Provide IT support for employees, resolving everyday issues like logon problems, printer malfunctions, firewall blocks and other technical hiccups.

• Install, upgrade, manage and decommission IT-systems.

• Implement and enforce best practices for system administration, security, and performance optimization.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure issues.

• Automate repetitive tasks and workflows using scripting and configuration management tools.

• Plan and execute capacity scaling, disaster recovery, and backup strategies to meet business continuity needs.

• Continuously improve monitoring, alerting, and documentation processes for operational efficiency.

Your background

We’re looking for someone with 2+ years of professional experience in one or more relevant areas. You have a good understanding of user and system administration, peripheral troubleshooting and general IT maintenance. You don't need in-depth network and server knowledge, but must be ready to take on that part in your journey. You likely hold a Computer Science Technician with a Specialization in Infrastructure degree (or equivalent) and you enjoy interacting with people of varying level of IT skill.

Your team

You will join our operations team consisting of other operations and platform engineers, so although mostly away from the office, you will have competent coworkers to spar with and who can help out with tasks. When not assisting customers with their systems and platforms, you will assist the in-house team who primarily deals with maintaining our SaaS platform.

Requirements

To fulfill this role, it is an absolute requirement that you are eligible to obtain and maintain a PET security clearance at the NATO Secret level as well as possessing a valid drivers license and be able to be on-site.
