Job description
As a Platform engineer at Conference Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving the execution of our SaaS platform that powers conferences and events.
Core Responsibilities
You will play a critical role in ensuring our software solution is meeting our SLA. You will also have a huge impact on our ability to rapidly release improvements and fix bugs by ensuring our developers have the right tools available and are able to run as fast as possible.
You will work with:
- Design, deploy, and maintain our Kubernetes cluster - We host everything in-house.
- Ensure high availability and resilience across our two hosting locations.
- Automate deployments, scaling, and monitoring of microservices.
- Collaborate with developers to optimize CI/CD pipelines and containerized workloads.
- Implement security best practices, backup strategies, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Troubleshoot cluster issues and improve system performance.
Your team
Conference manager is in a growing phase where teams are changing to allow for faster scale-up. We are aiming for faster development cycles with early feedback from stakeholders. You will play a pivotal role in helping with this transformation together with developers and designers.
Do you have what it takes?
To succeed in this role, the preferred candidate should ideally also have experience in some of the following areas:
- Strong experience (4+ years) with Kubernetes (on‑prem or hybrid environments).
- Solid understanding of containerization (Docker) and Linux systems.
- Familiar with networking, storage, and security in distributed systems.
- Experience with monitoring/observability tools.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
- Problem‑solver with a proactive mindset and ability to work independently.
